    Description

A fantastic original poster on heavy gage paper cardboard advertising THE CAVALCADE OF MAGIC by John Pomeroy. In perfect condition. These were created in the 1970s in a James Bond 007 style. The bottom portion would have had the venue and time and dates of the shows. These are super cool, original from that era. Great graphics and style. See pics for condition. I will ship flat. Feel free to send an email if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
I also have a couple props from his shows and some other posters he did pictured in the listing. I can ship multiple posters for no extra shipping.
John Pomeroy (1938-2000) was a magician, illusionist, craftsman and magic dealer.
Pomeroy developed a bar act and after getting married to his first wife Donna, played club dates on the West Coast in the late 1950s. He built all his own props and designed an act to work trade shows. For four years he promoted the "Magic of Oil Heat" throughout the state of Washington. One of the first items he created and marketed to magicians was his "Gem Hand Flasher". Its successful sales inspired him to start up the business that would become known as the Gem Magic Manufacturing Company. He created and sold illusions to many of the biggest magicians of our time including David Copperfield. Following Doug Henning's huge success on Broadway in The Magic Show, Pomeroy began writing a magic musical play based on the story of Jack the Ripper called "Bloody Jack". It premiered the summer of 1980 at the Civic Auditorium in Everett, Washington and in Oakland CA, but it was not a large commercial success.
