RARE 1940 Original International Brotherhood of Magicians International Revue Masonic Temple Davenport, Iowa Magic Show Poster
This is an awesome original vintage magic poster. It was screen printed and is on heavy card stock. The poster is from a show that was held at the Masonic Temple in Davenport, Iowa. A very rare piece from a show that featured many great magicians including
Al Baker, Al Saal, Dell O'Dell, Eugene Laurent, Paul LePaul, Ed Reno, Dorny, Bill Baird, Doc Mahendra, Tony Kardyro, Clem Magrum
and more. This is a particularly historic piece as this was the year that the Quad Cities Magic Club formed and became members of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. They hosted the IBM convention in June of that year during which this show was held. The poster features the text "Thrills - Chills - Baffling Magic. The World's Greatest Magicians in International Revue. 3 Big Nights 3. June 19-20-21. Show at 8:00 PM. Masonic Temple Davenport. Complete Change of Program Nightly. All Seats Reserved - Adm. .12, 85c. Open to the Public. Donald Hendricks, Convention Manager. Cavalcade of Famous Entertainers from Broadway to Hollywood, who are guests of International Brotherhood of Magicians Convention will Participate. Children's Show, June 20 at 2:30 P.M., Admission 10 Cents." The poster was designed/printed by the Tribune Press of Fowler, Indiana as can be seen in the text along the bottom. It measures 14" x 22" approximately and is in very nice condition for it's age.
