    Description

    1960s HERCULES HS6 DRY CELL BATTERY. Made by Union Carbide. Large 1 1/2 volt battery is untested - measures approximately 6 1/2” tall. Found a box of these at an estate sale. They were cracks commonly used in radios, telephones, lanterns, and many other devises from the 1890’s- 1960’s. In the late 50’s the alkaline battery started to replace these dry cell batteries.
